Originally founded May 29, 1894 and a member, since 1975, of the Ontario Historical Society. Ours is a totally volunteer-based group, dedicated to the preservation, exploration and promotion of the richly significant history enjoyed by Thorold and vicinity.


SOCIETY MEETINGS AND PROGRAM

Regular meetings take place on the LAST MONDAY OF THE MONTH (September through June), in historic Chestnut Hall (pictured above) - built in 1862, by an industrialist who made his fortune in the California Gold Rush! Chestnut Hall is designated under the Ontario Heritage Act.

Meetings commence at 7:30pm and are followed by refreshments. Admission is free and a warm welcome is extended to all. Chestnut Hall is located at 14 Ormond St. N. next to the Thorold Public Library (parking in the rear).
